February Green Yoox.com

Vivienne Westwood, Morcheeba and young designers Estethica among the leaders of eco-innovations that are staged on YOOXYGEN, the green area of Yoox. com. The green is in fashion: YOOXYGEN, eco-friendly side of Yoox. com, submit new projects to prove that style can go hand in hand with sustainability.

We start with the new edition of ever. green series, the 100% organic t-shirts designed by celebrities from the entertainment, and produced in limited edition from ethical fashion brand Edun Live. This year, after investments of Angela Lindvall and Elettra Wiedemann, is the lead singer Skye Edwards of Morcheeba to design the new décor.

For his shirt, drops a grid of black and green-inspired cover of Blood Like Lemonade, the group's new album. They are all made in Africa, and the proceeds go entirely to Green Cross International. But to make a contribution to a more conscious fashion Vivienne Westwood also takes the field: the volcanic YOOXYGEN designer has chosen as the exclusive online partner for its Westwood Ethical Fashion Africa Project.

The initiative combines the recycling of raw materials with a project of social rehabilitation: the result is three iconic shopping bag, hand made with poor materials, of the most disadvantaged women in Nairobi. And to coincide with London Fashion Week, a new place to be. For the second consecutive year, the British Fashion Council has teamed up with Yoox.

com to bring on-line collections Estethica, the creative hub that collects the most promising eco-friendly fashion designers in the UK. Seven designers selected: Lost of Property of London, Henrietta Ludgate, Goodone, Maxjenny, Nina Dolcetti, Sonya Kashmiri and From Somewhere. They will demonstrate that it is possible to combine innovative design and green philosophy, and that fashion can be ethical and aesthetic.
