The top of the moment? A man

Nineteen years, Australia's national origins Serbian-Croatian, star of several editorials for the best fashion magazines and now the face of Marc Jacobs and Jean Paul Gaultier. What it does not matter to judge his beautiful work is sex. Parading in women's clothes for the most prestigious catwalks and posing with an ethereal grace in front of photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Pigott.

Yet the issue of gender seems to be insurmountable, because while Andrej Pejic enchants for his androgyny and ability to interpret different styles, raises other questions and a bit 'fears. Because he is a man, but posing for the women's fashion. And certainly not for a mannish fashion, even if we think that Jean Paul Gaultier has chosen to pull out with a wedding dress.

However, not all fashion houses today would accept a model without a clear sexual identity. Nor exploit this ambiguity, playing with androgynous outfit or dress totally male or female. But things are bound to change. Soon the reduction of gender boundaries is a necessary step for the house (think of the advertising campaign for Givenchy with a transsexual Lea T).

Why Andrej (and other professionals like him catwalk), can give infinite interpretations of fashion, representing an immense wealth for stylists and designers.
