Baby bottles bisphenol A banned from today blocked the production in Europe

Do not mess around and if we talk about health of children, attention must be greater, especially since the consequences of this inattention could affect their future development. Since the EU has thrown against beberon to bisphenol A, has begun an intensive information campaign. So much so that the limit imposed by the notice at the beginning of this harmful substance was set for June 1, but then the urgency of removing from contact with children has been brought forward to March 1.

From today, therefore, the bottles are safer without bisphenol A, according to European directive published on 28 January 2011 which prohibits the use of polycarbonate baby bottles containing BPA. Starting today, the directive takes effect in all EU member states, while from June 1 next will also prohibited the import of baby bottles that contain this material.

Besides, now you have to consider other alternatives to this material. In fact, you should not look ahead, but back when the bottles were of glass. The European Commission, in fact, refers to the glass "as an alternative material to polycarbonate / plastic and are several reasons to prefer it: Does not contain BPA and so it's safe to health, since it does not release harmful substances into contact with food; and then the glass can be used and reused almost indefinitely without losing its basic qualities.

Yes, it is fragile, but it is said that we should drop the bottle on the floor, right? The choice of glass as a material safe for children's health did cheer the European Federation of glass containers (Feve): "There is now no doubt that the legislation of the European Union consider the glass container as a major chemically and biologically inert materials, "said Adeline Farrelly, Secretary General of FEVE.

Among the many advantages of glass, there to be 100% recycled almost indefinitely. In the end, if we know how to build a lamp recycling a glass bottle, we can very well use the same procedure for glass bottles, once our children are grown and we want to still keep them at home as a souvenir.
