"Breakfast at Tiffany's" celebrates half a century, many initiatives to celebrate the movie-myth!

"Breakfast at Tiffany's", one of the most beloved movies of all time, makes half a century. Fifty and not hear them, would be to comment! A film from the unforgettable grace and charm, and all thanks to its bright protagonist: the queen of Hollywood chic Audrey Hepburn! Do you remember the scene where the beautiful Holly Golightley, wrapped in a stylish little black dress by Givenchy, a taxi firm with just a whistle? It 'a well-known scene, which belongs to the collective film of us all.

It was 1961, but Breakfast at Tiffany's does not age, if anything, like good wine, improves, reminding us that good things never go out of fashion. There are many initiatives that intend to celebrate this birthday properly so important, I will mention just a few. For example, the Academy of Motion Pictures presents July 29 edition of the restored film directed by Blake Edwards, who will be submitted on blue ray at the Samuel Golden Theatre in Beverly Hills.

In addition, to celebrate the life of Audrey as Holly-icon of timeless elegance, the Integrity Toys will launch a line of dolls (limited edition, of course) inspired the look of their own star of Breakfast at Tiffany's: it will be dressed in little black dress , coat or raincoat pink orange.

As regards Italy, we are also celebrating this legendary film at the Film Festival 2011 (from 27 October to 4 November), when it projected a restored version of the film within a film career retrospective Audrey Hepburn. For my part, I would have a suggestion for this summer 2011: in addition to reviewing Breakfast at Tiffany's, why not take advantage to reread (or read for the first time) a wonderful short novel from which it is drawn? "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is, above all, a fine book by Truman Capote, who also took care to sign the homonymous film script, changing the original plot just something ...

Meanwhile, enjoy our beautiful Audrey singing softly theme song of the movie, Moon River, Henry Mancini, and dream ...
