From China with beauty

Are from the East and conquered the catwalk Fall / Winter 2011-12: the Asian models are becoming increasingly popular, and among them is hidden (maybe) the next top. The new Naomi? You can bet that will have almond eyes. Announced by the increasingly strategic role played in the Asia policies of luxury brands, advances the position of the mannequin that come from the Far East (PHOTOGALLERY>>).

They are called Liu, Fei Fei, Tao, and their exotic features and lithe silhouette has attracted designers and fashion editors. Steven Meisel has the desired, all together on American Vogue in December, these days they want at least one of the designers on the catwalk. China's Liu Wen is the forerunner of this large group.

She was the first Victoria's Secret Angel with almond eyes, and today is his first choice for the eastern face Estée Lauder goes without saying that home is a celebrity. A meter for fifty and seventy-nine pounds (gulp!) started in 2005 by participating in a beauty contest in the province of Hunan.

Today paraded on the catwalks of the most popular designers - recent sightings by Jonathan Saunders, Alexander Wang, Ralph Lauren - and is the focus of campaigns such as those CKone, Barneys New York City, Gap, Benetton. Always comes from the former Celestial Empire Du Juan, originally from Shanghai: Miss China won the title in 2003, three years after he debuted as a model, signing a contract with the agency IMG.

Since then he has met with increasing success: it is a fixture in the pages of Vogue, and appeared in many advertising including those by Giorgio Armani, Anna Sui, Uniqlo. Instead, Beijing Fei Fei Sun, considered a real rising star: born in 1989, has just won the campaign S / S 2011 by DSquared2.

Behind him, a short but intense career: choice in 2009 by Karl Lagerfel in person for the Chanel Paris Shanghai Show, found itself in less than no time to parade for Vivienne Westwood, Hermes, Jil Sander and other big names in the International. But there's only China in the East: So Young Kang comes from South Korea, and less than a year since its debut has already trod the catwalks of Chanel and Givenchy, and appeared in fashion at Elle, Vogue and Number.

It is Tao Okamoto from Japan, chosen in the past by W, Vogue, Dazed & Confused, and on the catwalk, in these days for Jaeger London, Philip Lim, Diane Von Furstenberg.
