Electronic Cigarettes under test

It is not just about nicotine: who wants to quit smoking and he can not be held back by another factor, one linked to the gestures that accompany the use of cigarettes. So why not break the addiction by continuing to repeat these same movements? This is the idea behind the so-called electronic cigarettes and hence their effectiveness is the subject of a true scientific study, launched in Milan by the European Institute of Oncology (IEO), the Cardiology Centre and the Institute San Raffaele Monzino At the center of the analysis - in which 126 people will be involved - the electronic cigarette smoke-T, which will be used in patients with cancer or myocardial infarction and in smokers of at least 10 cigarettes a day for 10 years or older.

According to preliminary observations of the IEO, the electronic cigarette can be an extraordinarily effective, at least to trigger the initial phase of withdrawal, namely the dependence of psychological gesture. According to Elena Calvi, medical psychoanalyst Center Smoke IEO, the electronic cigarette is interesting and should test it in a comprehensive and rigorous as its use could cope with the inherent dependence on the cigarette and then gestures to no non-nicotine but less difficult to be overcome for many smokers.
