The race for women

Breast cancer and domestic violence is hidden from the walls contrast even running: again, for the fourteenth time, Avon Running, a race of women and for women, organized by the American multinational cosmetics business with the intent to raise funds favor of non-profit organization operating in the area: San Paolo Hospital ASL Bari, breast-radiology section, the Parent Child Sisters Zealous of L'Aquila, the non-profit association breast Reggina in Reggio Calabria and the European Institute of Oncology Milan.

The event is open to all and in fact provides a path next to competitive (10 km) an amateur to do a free walk (5 km). The first appointment is at Bari, March 6. The race then continues to Reggio Calabria (19 and March 20) and L'Aquila (April 17). The winners of each stage will be competitive then invited to participate in the final to be held in Milan on May 8.

Even in the cities hosting this year's stages will be set up the Avon Running Village, a real city for women with spaces for entertainment, music and animation. There will also be a booth for Reebok, one of the sponsors of this initiative that combines well-being and solidarity, where the trainer will be available for advice on training programs and the choice of the right shoe.

In every town touched by the tour will then select four women - in the business, social, scientific and sports - that have distinguished themselves in their field: they will be awarded the prize "Woman Town".
