The British? Mad about French cuisine!

The economic crisis has cut out the restaurant, but certainly not the passion for good food, which is why more and more people prefer to orient themselves on ready meals, best of cuisines from other countries, to try new flavors without necessarily spending a fortune . And to depopulate the last year the tables were British foods of French cuisine, which reported a 16% increase in sales according to the analysis conducted by Worldpanel Kantar, a company of consumer research market, and confirmed by the data the same chain Tesco, which each year has seen sales rise of Alpine dishes and desserts as much as 27%.

Looking, however, individual foods, like (and much) chicken cacciatore, which showed a +226% in sales, followed by crusted salmon (+73%) and fillet in pepper (+37% ). But the other kitchens are certainly not left to watch and if China remains an easy and fast (and, on balance, not too expensive) as confirmed by an increase of 15% of ready meals, the Tex-Mex became a surprise Top 5 placing fifth with a 3.2% in one year, while, equally surprisingly, the mini ranks came the Indian food, perhaps because the British prefer the take-away when it comes to making dinner based curry.

In third place are also the home kitchen (+6.7%) and the Italian quarter (+6.6%), confirming that the combination of pasta, pizza is just for all tastes. .

Since November of last year both the French cuisine as the Mediterranean diet have become our intangible heritage by UNESCO.
