Feeding children prefer foods sponsored by the cartoons

It seems a bit 'the discovery of the hot infant under the influence of advertising and "reinforcement" of fantastic sponsors as favorite cartoons. In the beginning there was Popeye-Popeye, that stimulate the little ones in the consumption of the hated spinach, food among the less "nice". We had arrived alone, that the cereal box that shows the nice big face in full view of green Shrek, rather than the nice nose of Hello Kitty has a better chance to attract attention and drive the child preference, compared to a box " neutral.

" In fact, it's not for adults things will change a lot, maybe not the hero of the animated favorite to act as a decoy, but the words light, or maybe energetic, not to mention the effects on the psyche slow to colors and shapes. But now comes an American study that highlights something even more interesting: not only do children prefer to buy foods advertised on the comic book or cartoon characters in vogue, but even they are more "good", and in this sense, advertising manipulate the taste of children.

By analyzing the preferences of a sample of 80 children of 4-6 years, researchers at the University of Pennsylvania have discovered that advertising influences them so heavy as to alter the correct perception of flavors. For the children have been offered the same content of cereal flakes, however, in two different packaging, decorated with a cartoon idols, the other without drawings.

The children all said they find the tastiest cereal box and sponsored more bad guys than the other. "The results provide evidence that the use of famous people on food packaging affect the palatability of the product," explain the authors of this study, published in the journal Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.

Not surprisingly, the creative people who are charged with studying the packaging of food products, driven by the companies, using hands down the pictures and gadgets of the most beloved of time from the world of children, to push sales. And they succeed to perfection. You can not have nothing against this type of message, not at all hidden, even more alert and aware parents are never going to convince their children to prefer packaged foods without puppets and the like.

Besides, do not even know what is right: collecting gadgets, figurines and decorated boxes is fun, we did it all when we grew up we may have become a bit 'smarter and less "perforated" by the power of advertising. Let's say that, like simple advice, since, in most cases they are good quality products that you can buy easily, maybe take advantage of "specials" for stock.

In the supermarkets often do, so little children will be satisfied, and the pockets will not be affected too ...
