Television: Italian women Zelig reward, respect the female figure

Lately it does not talk about bad television, and how the auditel many popular programs is directly proportional to the percentage of female skin exposed to the eye, often far too intrusive, the cameras. There is a fine documentary, which has made a few years now, but alas, still very current, entitled "The body of women", downloaded from the web easily.

The author is Lorella Zanardo, with sharpness and clarity that has highlighted what has become ridiculous and grotesque, the female image sets from the most deterioration in the collective media cliché. Women certified, women-body (a body that must meet certain criteria, absolutely unnatural), women "chirurgizzate" to look like the one existing model.

However, maybe something is beginning to change, if not in the TV listings, at least in the heads of girls, from which encouraging signs of rebellion. All this serves to introduce my premise that you want to report the news, I think positive, which covers the TV show "virtuous", that does not mean or bigoted Puritan, but simply and only "respectful".

The transmission Zelig, we all know very well this year and that takes advantage of the sparkling run of veteran Claudio Bisio, and fantastic new entry Paola Cortellesi (let a lone for the beautiful and talented Paola) won a prize. Not a Telegatto or something like that, but "Girl Friends Pictures 2011" for television, for a creative socially responsible.

This is an important recognition, which aims to "enhance communication for images that do not abuse of women's bodies and not exploits, do not use stereotypes and at the same time make an effort of creativity and respect." Not by chance, to establish and promote the award, were women, namely the Udi Union (Italian women), in collaboration with the Information Office of the European Parliament for Italy and sponsored by the Ministry of Equal Opportunities .

During a solemn ceremony, celebrated in Rome in front of an audience of parliamentarians and journalists from the first level, this recognition, the result of selection obtained through the popular vote and assessment of a panel of media experts, was delivered into the hands of Massimo Donelli, director of Channel 5.

This, however, the comments of the two presenters, the main architects of the degree of Zelig at the female audience and the authors of the program Gino & Michele and Giancarlo Bozzo: "We are delighted that the Udi has recognized our work, which in recent years has always on trying to trivialize the role of women, or rather has created a game because of complicity and mutual sharing between men and women.

" We are also happy with us, and we hope it is just the beginning of a journey that is committed to re-evaluate not only the dignity of the female figure in the television medium, but the dignity and worth of the medium itself.
