How to treat plants: Water Lilies hardy

The lilies are beautiful aquatic plants. Nymphaeacee belong to the family and are found in ponds or lakes. Did you know that we can grow even on the terrace or in the garden? The hardy species, in fact, they adapt well to our climate. The important thing is that during the winter their rhizome is not at risk of frost.

The hardy water lilies bloom in spring and summer, from April to September. the uniqueness of these wonderful flowers is that they open at ten in the morning and close at five in the afternoon. What is needed to grow the hardy water lilies? Need a shower or tub, provided that it is not painted because the paint could damage the water lily.

The aluminum tubs are fine. If then decorated the outside with decoupage even better! The container for the hardy water lilies should be large enough and placed in a sunny position because these plants need at least 6 hours of sun. The rhizomes should be planted about 20 inches deep. The container must be at least 50-70 cm deep.

At the bottom of the container must be of the earth. Then you must fill in lukewarm water. The waterlily continues to grow until the end of September, then goes dormant. In order to survive the water lily, water from the fund must not freeze. What are the most beautiful hardy water lilies: the Aurora Water Lily, Waterlily the Graziella, Little Sue, the Paul Hariot, the Sioux Lily, Lily, and Indiana.
