How to Celebrate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy and honor its natural wonders? On 17 March, the WWF offers free thirteen oasis protected from North to South: the natural reserve of Monte Arcosu in Sardinia, the lagoon of Orbetello to the romantic haven of Lake Burano, Tuscany. "The WWF - said Fulco Pratesi, the founder and honorary president of WWF Italy - is a concrete proof of what Italy has done in the past 50 years to save the natural heritage." The oases open, with guided tours, are: Valle Averto (Venice), Wood Vanzago (Milan), Valpredina (Bergamo), Orti Bottagone (Livorno), Rocconi, Orbetello and Burano (Grosseto), Macchiagrande (Roma), Ripabianca of Jesi (Ancona), Alviano (Terni), Persian (Salerno), Monte Arcosu (Cagliari), Le Gesine (Lecce).
